Add Easy Anti Cheat to your Windows Firewall
Easy Anti Cheat is a program that installs with The First Descendant game. It catches players who cheat. Your Windows Firewall might be blocking it if the game can’t find this program on your computer when you start it.

- Click “Allow an app through Controlled folder access” after opening Ransomware Protection.
- Click “Add an allowed app” and find TheFirstDescendant.exe in the game’s folder.
- Click “Open” and do the same for EACLaunch.exe in the game’s folder.
- Finally, go to the folder M1>Binaries>Win64 and add M1-Win64-Shipping.exe.
Reinstall the Easy Anti Cheat manually on your device
To do this, go to the game’s folder, under Steam/Steamapps/common/The First Descendant. Find the Easy Anti Cheat folder. Click on the Easy Anti Cheat Uninstall file to remove it. Then, in the same folder, find the EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup file. Right-click on it and choose Run as Administrator. Follow the steps to install it. The Easy Anti Cheat is reinstalled successfully.
Scan and fix the files
The “Anti-cheat not installed” error happens if, there are damaged files in the game’s folder that are stopping it from finding the anti-cheat. One way to fix this is to reinstall the game. An easier way is to verify file integrity.
To do this, right-click on The First Descendant in your Steam Library, then go to Properties > Installed Files tab > Verify Integrity. This will check the files in the game’s folder and fix the damaged files.
