Chained Together was released on June 19, 2024, and published by Anegar Games. It’s an engaging co-op game where players dip into an adventure together.
Here’s how to play Chained Together with your friends:
How to Play with Friends
- In solo mode, players aim to climb unusual surfaces and reach the top.
- In co-op mode, you and up to three friends team up, but there’s a twist: everyone chains together. One wrong move can jeopardize the entire team’s progress.
1. Launching the Game
To begin, ensure all players have Chained Together installed on their devices.
2. Creating a Session
- From the main menu, select “Play.”
- Choose “Host a Game.”
- Set up your unique lobby:
- Name the lobby.
- Set a password.
- Choose the difficulty level.
- Decide between “Opened” or “Closed” chains.
Difference between Opened and Closed Chaines
- Opened chains will put one player in the front and the rest will follow them in a line. This makes the person in the front the leader of the team and they’ll be able to control most moves.
- Locked chains let every teammate have complete control over movement. Naturally, this increases the team’s requirement to coordinate and plan every move with extra caution.
3. Sharing Session Details
Use the in-game invite system or share your session ID and password. Ensure all friends are connected before starting the game.
4. Starting the Game
Once all players are in the session, the host can start the game. Work together through the game’s challenges.
5. Joining an Existing Session
- If invited, accept the game invitation from your friend.
- Use the provided session ID and password to join the session.
- Once connected, wait for the host to initiate the game.
6. In-Game Communication
Utilize game chat or external voice communication tools for better coordination and teamwork.
Choose Difficulty Level
You must choose from the following difficulty levels:
- Beginner: In this mode, you can continue from the highest point reached before falling using a button in the pause menu. There are three checkpoints, but you cannot earn Steam achievements or trophies, and your time isn’t added to the leaderboards.
- Normal: Your time is added to the leaderboards upon reaching the Summit, but there are no checkpoints, so you start over if you fall.
- Lava: There are no checkpoints in Lava mode. Also, lava constantly chases you, and your goal is to reach the Summit before it catches you.
