Collect 16 Motes of Light
Some motes drop by collecting Traveler’s Orbs in the Pale Heart. You can track these by visiting the Speaker Room in the Lost City on the Pale Heart. The remaining motes drop from killing bosses in the Overthrow activity. Each boss kill should yield one mote. Check your Triumphs under Pale Heart then Exploration to see which bosses you’ve already defeated.
If you have collected all 16 motes but have not received the exotic mote, you may be experiencing the common bug.
Workaround
- Vault the Motes: Place the 16 motes you’ve collected into your vault.
- Kill Koftix: Experience the Overthrow activity and kill Koftix, the taken meatball boss, which spawns in the Bloom In area at tier 4.
Obtain the Exotic Mote
After placing the motes in the vault and killing Koftix, you should receive the exotic mote. With the exotic mote in hand, go to the chest in the Speaker Room in the Lost City and open it to receive the Kvostov 7g-0x.
